On Sept. 11, at around 8:30 in the morning, police were called to investigate a "suspicious person" inside a car parked in a space outside a business at 21 River Road.

According to their report, police found Alexis Midnyte Moloney, 23, of Fairview Avenue in Bridgeport, "passed out in the driver seat." Further investigation revealed Moloney had multiple active arrest warrants, and police detained her at WPD Headquarters.

Police charged Moloney with use of drug paraphernalia, sixth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer, and criminal impersonation. Moloney was held at Wilton Police Headquarters pending her release under a court ordered bond of $5,000. She was scheduled to appear in Stamford Supreme Court the next day. At 2:18 in the morning of Sept. 12, Wilton police investigated a 2008 Honda Pilot that had stopped in the southbound lane in front of a closed business located at 644 Danbury Rd.

In their report, police say the driver, Manuel Pani, 55, of Hillside Street in Danbury, appeared to have "glassy/blood shot eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and/or person."

Pani failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, according to police, who charged him with DUI. Further investigation revealed two receipts documenting eight alcoholic beverages purchased from a restaurant several hours previously, police said. The subsequent breath tests showed Pani's blood alcohol concentration to be a 0.1669 and a 0.1717. In Connecticut, adults with a BAC of 0.08 or higher are considered legally intoxicated.

Pani was issued a bond in the amount of $250, which was resolved within 24 hours. He is scheduled to appear before Stamford Superior Court on Sept. 22.
