Christian Higgins leads the Wilton Wahoos' strong representation at this week's junior swimming national championships.

Higgins is the top seed in the 100-meter breaststroke with a qualifying time if 1:02.90. It is one of his six races in the junior nationals as he also is entered in the 200-meter breaststroke, the 400-meters,  the 400-meters IM  and the 200-meters and the 200-meters IM.

Robert Harder is competing in the 100 backstroke, the 200 meters, the 200 freestyle, the 400 freestyle, the 800 freestyle and the 1,500-meters.

Eric Ronda is entered in the 100 breaststroke, the 200 breaststroke the 400 freestyle and the 800 freestyle. Samuel Delise will be swimming in the 200 IM and the 400 IM.

On the women's Kate Luchansky is entered in the 50 free, the 100 freestyle, the 400 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. Madeline Smart will be competing in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and the 200 freestyle.

The Wahoos will have a total of six competitors in the junior nationals, which are set for Monday through Friday at Stamford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

In the senior nationals championships on Saturday, Ronda (2:15.96) and Higgins (2:18.76) finished 19th and 20th, respectively, in the 200-meter breaststroke.

The Wahoos' quartet of Shelby Fortin, Emily Weir, Luchansky and Smart finished 34th in the 200-meter backstroke (2:27.72).
