The boys basketball team opened its season Wednesday night with a 59-52 loss to Fairfield Ludlowe.
The Falcons took control early in the second half, using a 7-0 run to build a 35-28 lead. Wilton's Chris Nugent paced all scores with 19 points.

Brianna Curran scored 16 points as the Fairfield Ludlowe girls basketball team held on to defeat Wilton 50-49 for its first win of the season.
Sara Nesi added seven points and 10 rebounds for the Falcoms, who improved to 1-2.
Ludlowe took a 40-26 lead into the fourth quarter, when the Warriors outscored Ludlowe 23-10.
Wilton's Casey Pearsall led all scorers with 21 points. Alysa Malvarosa added nine for the Warriors, who dropped to 2-1.
