The boys basketball team pitched a shutout in the fourth quarter Thursday to defeat Bethel 49-29 in the Trumbull holiday tournament.
Chris Nugent scored 17 points for the Warriors, who blanked the Wildcats 14-0 in the final period. Wilton won its second straight game to improve to 2-2.

Ian Ross added 12 points and Weston Wilbur chipped in with nine for the Warriors, who defeated Platt 75-38 on Tuesday.
Wilton opened a 16-4 lead after the first quarter and extended its advantage to 28-11 at the half.

Bethel pulled within 35-29 after outscoring the the Warriors in the third quarter but it went ice cold in the final period.
Daniel Garvin had nine points to lead Bethel.
