Ian Ross scored a season-high 21 points Tuesday as the boys basketball team posted a 63-61 overtime victory against Fairfield Warde at the Zeolo Field House.

The Warriors improved to 3-4, surpassing last season's entire win total when Wilton finished 2-18.

Chris Nugent was the hero for Wilton in overtime, scoring seven of his nine points in the extra period.

Weston Wilbur scored 15 points and Eric Houska added nine for the Warriors.

Michael Wright scored 26 points to pace Fairfield Warde, which dropped its second straight and fell to 4-4. Matthew McTegue added nine points for the Mustangs.

Jamera Fountain scored 14 points as the Fairfield Warde girls basketball team posted a 48-42 victory over Wilton.

Kate Kerrigan added 10 points for the Mustangs, who improved to 5-5 at the midpoint of the season.

Wilton, perhaps the FCIAC's most surprising team, dropped to 7-3.

Casey Pearsall was the only player in double figures for the Warriors with 14 points.

Warde overcame a sluggish start as the Mustangs trailed 7-4 after the first quarter. But the they outscored the Warriors 16-6 in the second period to grab a 20-13 lead at the half.
