The girls basketball team will have a chance to tie idle St. Joseph for first place in the FCIAC East on Thursday.

Wilton (7-3) downed Stamford 49-40 on Tuesday as Maddy Fulton scored 14 points and Casey Pearsall and Alyssa Malvarosa each added 13 for the Warriors.
Norwalk stayed hot with a 50-33 victory over Greenwich. The Bears clinched a berth in the state tournament with the victory and Wilton can do the same by beating Norwalk.

St. Joseph (10-2 overall) slipped to 8-2 in the FCIAC following Tuesday's 54-27 loss to Danbury, the league's only unbeaten team.
On the boys side, Wilton (3-7) hosts Norwalk (7-3) in a 7 p.m. start.
The Warriors are coming off a 60-45 loss to Stamford while Norwalk cooled off Greenwich 45-36 in a low-scoring contest. The defeat snapped the Cardinals' six-game winning streak.

The Wilton boys hockey team earned its second win of the season Wednesdy with a 5-3 victory over New Milford.
The Warriors improved to 2-7 with the non-conference triumph.
