There was no letdown for the 11-year-old Wilton baseball team.
After a dramatic 3-2, nine-inning win over Annex on Wednesday, Wilton defeated Yalesvlle 8-5 on Thursday to improve to 2-0 in the section one tournament being played at Bridgeport's Blackham Field.

Wilton is atop the standings with Fairfield American. Annex and Seymour are each 0-1 and Yalesville fell to 0-2 with Thursday's loss. The top two finishers meet in the finals.
Ryan Gabriele singled in the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth on Wednesday against Annex.

After an off day Friday, Wilton faces district three winner Seymour on Saturday and district two winner Fairfield American on Sunday.
