Wilton finished the Route 84 regular season with a 14-3 record to earn a berth in the playoffs.
D'Elisa, Filaski and Will Suchy were recently honored by the Route 84 summer travel league by being selected as All-stars to represent Wilton for the 11U East All-star team. The annual classic was played at Danbury's Rogers Park on July 16 and featured representatives from the 20 teams in the league.
D'Elisa started the contest for East and pitched a scoreless first inning. With the East trailing 3-0, Suchy entered the game in relief and pitched out of a no-out bases loaded jam to keep the game close. Suchy also smacked a long double to right centerfield.
After the East rallied with a six-run fifth inning to take a 9-7 lead, Filaski closed the game by pitching the last two innings of effective relief to preserve a 9-8 victory over the West. Filaski was also 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.
Wilton manager John D'Elisa was selected to manage the East All-Star team by virtue of Wilton's first-place position in the Eastern Division standings.
The 11-year-old Wilton baseball team clinched a spot in the section one finals with a 4-2 win over Seymour on Sunday.
