Sunday's contest was a back-and-forth game early and the first quarter ended in a scoreless tie with neither team doing much on offense. Wilton, however, came alive in the second quarter.
While Richard Nolan, Billy Ronk, Kyle Phillips, Dean DiNanno, Tyler Previte, Matthew Graham, Johnny Wu, Max Colburn, Thomas Costello and Joey Seaman led the defense with well-executed tackles, the offense started to show a spark as well.

Runs by Phillips and Ronk, behind the blocking of DiNanno, Wu, Nolan, Matthew King, Jiffy Lescica, Malcolm McGregor and Liam Jenkins, put Wilton in good position.
Previte and Luciano ran well on the ground, but it was Phillips' 17-yard touchdown pass to Barnes that got Wilton going. Ronk ended the second quarter with a 24-yard run, but time expired before Wilton could run another play.
The third-quarter highlights included a tackle by Phillips for a loss and other solid tackles from the Warriors' defense in addition to Wu's fumble recovery. Luciano's TD run with 2:52 left in the quarter gave Wilton a 12-0 lead.
