The Wilton football team has gotten out of the gate fast and at 3-0, the Warriors are one win away from matching last season's victory total (4-6).

However, they haven't exactly faced a muderer's row schedule as Wilton's three wins have come against Bridgeport Central, St. Joseph and Bassick - teams who have a combined record of 0-9.

That will change on Thursday as the Warriors welcome rival Ridgefield to Fujitani Field for a 6 p.m. kickoff.

The Tigers come in with a 2-1 record, having rebounded from a season-opening 16-3 loss to Greenwich with wins over Fairfield Ludlowe and Stamford.

Ridgefield's offense looked crisp in last week's 34-28 victory over the Black Knights as Connor Rowe threw three touchdown passes in the first half. However, the Tigers had to hold on after building a 34-14 lead in the fourth .

Rowe has had an up and down start for the Tigers. He has passed for 613 yards and seven touchdowns but also has been picked off seven times.

Last week, Wilton rolled over Bassick 42-6 in a game that was completed on Saturday after it was suspended a day earlier because of lightning. Connor Devane scored three touchdowns for Wilton, two after the contest was resumed.
