Blake Pagano-Walley scored on a 15-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as the Wilton White third grade football team handed Ridgefield its first loss of the season with a 7-0 victory.
On the first possession of the game, the visiting Warriors methodically drove the ball down the field behind a ball control offense. Line mates Matt Gulbin, Michael Coffey, Charlie Hastings, Henry Sell, Blake Pagano-Walley, Joshua White and Austin Cameron had Ridgefield back pedaling for the entire first quarter

Everett Andersen, Davis Coteand Sean Sullivan mixed end runs and tough up the middle bursts to get deep into Ridgefield territory. Wilton’s drive ultimately stalled, but not until there was only six minutes left in the second quarter.
However, the Warriors forced a three-and-out Ridgefield's first possession.

Wilton’s couldn’t capitalize on its second possession despite great efforts from Jason Bivona, Logan Brady, Jack Fielden. Everett Andersen and Alex Smith just missed on a well-executed pass play as the first half ended 0-0.
Ridgefield opened the second half abandoning any attempt to run up the middle because of the efforts of interior defensive linemen Gulbin, Pagano-Walley, Coffey, Sell, Bivona and Egan. Ends White and Cameron recorded multiple tackles on Ridgefield's attempts to get outside.
Linebackers Cote, Sullivan and Quinn Wiseman showed aggressiveness and discipline, with Sullivan putting his usual stamp on the game with a hard hit for a loss on a Ridgefield sweep to the right.
Secondary mates Smith, Michael Gruseke, Connor Healy, Spencer Dean, Logan Brady and Daniel Gruseke patrolled the outside and swarmed in for several tackles.
Ridgefield’s defense had not given up a touchdown since the first quarter of its opening game of the season.
But when Wilton’s stout defense again stymied Ridgefield, the crowd could sense Wilton’s offense knew the game was theirs for the taking. And with a little more than four minutes left in the game, running back Blake Pagano-Walley burst through a hole over Matt Gulbin and broke free for the game's only score. Pagano-Walley added the extra point for the 7–0 lead.
When Wilton’s defense recovered a fumble with three minutes to go, Wilton’s offense had to protect the ball and gain enough yards to run out the clock.
Quarterback Everett Andersen and center Charlie Hastings continued their flawless exchanges despite the wet field, and waves of offensive contributors including Dean, the Grusekes, Healey and Brady, helped Wilton chew up the clock.
With Ridgefield out of timeouts, Wilton was left with a 4th-and-2 to maintain possession. When fullback Michael Coffey took the handoff from Andersen and gained four yards up the middle, Wilton White had its second victory in a row.
The Wilton girls U-11 Blue soccer team recorded its win of the season on Sunday at Ambler Field with a 5-3 win victory Westport.
Wilton’s Allie Dejana tied the game 1-1 on an unassisted goal. The offense had a number of great centering passes by Izzy King, Kaitlin Reif, Katy Pruden and Mackenzie McCormick while Paige Keating worked the ball up the sidelines numerous times and Shannon Keefe aggressively monitored the midfield.
Staunch defense by Bridgette Wall, Phoebe Beshlian, Alex Birchkowski and Carly Sullivan kept Westport in check throughout the game and Delia Freliech played great in goal.
Second half goals by Keating off a rebound, Pruden unassisted, McCormick on a pass by King and Dejana on a crafty corner kick play from Freliech and McCormick gave the Wolverines the win.
