The Wilton fifth grade Blue football team dropped a 6-0 decision to Fairfield last weekend, giving up the game's only score in the fourth quarter.
Richard Nolan, Tyler Previte, Kyle Philips, Matt Graham, Max Colburn, Joey Seaman, Matthew King, Malcolm MacGregor, Ethan Masek, Dean Dinanno, Thomas Costello, Jiffy Lesica, Andrew Luciano and Cole Barnes played well on defense for Wilton.

offensively, Wilton was paced by quarterback Philips along with the running of Previte, Dinanno and Luciano. Up front, Nolan, Graham, Lesica and Niko Koenigsberger provided solid blocking.
After reaching Fairfield's 4-yard line at the end of the fouth quarter and appeared to score, but Philips' TD pass Dinanno was called back because of a penalty.

Casey Pearsall scored in the first half as the Wilton girls soccer team battled Trumbull to a 1-1 tie Wednesday afternoon on the road.
Both teams remain winless on the young season as the Warriors' record stands at 0-1-1 while the Eagles played their third straight tie.
Lauren Hyde scored the tying goal for Trumbull in the second half.
Kasey O'Brien and Elizabeth Reda split time in goal for Wilton, each recording two saves.
The Warriors again played without coach Scott Neumann, who has been placed on leave for misconduct. Neumann is in his sixth season as Wilton's coach.
