After an impressive season-opening 33-20 win over Bridgeport Central, the Wilton football team looks for a 2-0 start on Saturday when the Warriors host St. Joseph at Fujitani Field (3:30 p.m.).

The Cadets are the defending two-time Class S state champions, but appear to be in a rebuilding mode after graduating 16 starters, including record-setting quarterback Joe Della Vecchia, who set a state mark for career touchdowns.

St. Joseph opened with a 21-7 loss to Staples, generating little success through the air against the Wreckers tough secondary.

However, the Cadets will be eager for revenge after getting upset by Wilton 27-14 last season in Trumbull.
