After defeating Foran 54-45 at home on Tuesday, the girls basketball team travels to Hebron on Friday to take on No. 7 seed RHAM in the second round of the Class L state tournament (7 p.m.)
RHAM, the No. 7 seed, had a bye in the first round. The winner of Friday's contest advances to the quarterfinals to take on either No. 2 Pomperaug or No. 18 Farmington in the quarterfinals next Thursday at the site of the higher-ranked team.
Alysa Malvarosa scored 18 points and Erica Meyer added 13 for the 10th-seeded Warriors, who improved to 15-7 with their win against Foran.

Wilton outscored Foran 18-9 in the fourth quarter after the contest was tied 36-36 following the third period. Casey Pearsall scored all 12 of her points for the Warriors in the second half.
It marked the second straight year in which the Warriors won a first-round game as they defeated FCIAC rival Darien 35-28 last season.
