The boys hockey team edged New Milford 2-1 on Tuesday in the first round of the Division II state tournament.
Matt Kobyra scored both goals for the Warriors, including the game-winner with eight seconds remaining.
Wilton, which started the season 0-7, improved to 11-11 and will face FCIAC rival Trumbull in the quarterfinals on Friday. The Eagles advanced with a 6-0 win over Watertown-Pomperaug on Tuesday.
