Wilton Wahoos Perform Well at YMCA National Championships
Wahoos have five top-10 finishes on their first day of competition.
Swimmers from the Wilton Wahoos had a number of impressive performances Wednesday during the first day of the YMCA Short Course National Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Four Wilton swimmers finished in the top five - and five in the top 10 - in their respective events, topped by third-place finishes by Shelby Fortin (4.44:87) in the women's 500 meter freestyle and K.C. Moss (2:02.85) in the 200-yard IM.
Robby Harder placed fifth in the men's 500 freestyle with a time of 4:30.77, while the quartet of Fortin, Taylor Byerly, Moss and Katy Luchansky were fourth in the women's 200 medley relay.

Christian Higgi was second in the B class, 10th overall in the men's 200 IM competition.
The championships continue through Saturday.
