Pal allegedly attempted to bite one emergency responder and kicked another while in the ambulance, police said.

Pal’s defense attorney Mark Sherman said he is confident the charges will be dismissed in court adding that the charges are overblown and not reflective of what really happened that day.

“Any resistance from Dr. Pal was necessary for her to defend herself from the conduct of a few overly aggressive law enforcement officers. You don’t have to look far in the news to appreciate that this issue is becoming a problem,” Sherman said in an email to Wilton Patch.
