Wilton Wrestling Posts 2-3 Record in Dual Meet At Farmington
Warriors defeated Foran and Haddam-Killingworth but lost to Fairfield Ludlowe, Farmington and Maloney
The Wilton wrestling team went 2-3 Saturday at the Duals on the Farmington River.
The team opened with a 42-27 win against Haddam-Killingworth, which started off at the 215-pound weight class.
Arnold Fraccaroli took a forfeit win and his little brother Joey followed up with a pin at 285.

Wilton’s next winner was Estevan Garcia. He recored a decision win at 119 and Drew Venditti followed up with a pin at 125.
Drew Kennedy earned a decision at 152, followed by three straight pins from Clay Helms (160), Colin Lillis (171) and Sam Somers at 189.

Host Farmington took the next meet by a score of 61-15. Wilton’s three winners were Joey Fraccaroli, who pinned his opponent at 285 to open the match, Helms, who won a decision at 152, and Lillis, who also had a pin at 171.
In a close-fought rematch against Fairfield Ludlowe, Wilton came up short and lost by the score of 34-31.
Venditti pinned his opponent at 125, Matt Hill won by decision at 140 and Wyatt Cobb came back to pin his opponent at 145,
Also, Kennedy earned a decision win at 152, Helms won a major decision at 160, Colin Lillis won a decision at 171, and Joey Fraccaroli earned a forfeit at 285.
Against Maloney, Wilton fell by the score of 48-18. Garcia won by decision at 119, then Kennedy won a decision at 152 and Helms won by technical fall at 160. Lillis earned a major decision at 171 to round out Warrior scoring.
In the final dual against Foran, Wilton squeezed out a 40-39 win. Garcia and Venditti opened the scoring with two straight pins at 119 and 125, respectively.
Kennedy added a major decision at 152, followed by three straight pins from Travis Stella (160), Lillis (171), and Somers (189) to close out Wilton's scoring.
In JV action, Dan Adams had a pin in his only match, Matt Baxendale had a decision win, Ken Pokora had a pin, Travis Stella had a decision win and Mitch Feehley had a decision win.
