College student, Joey Maltese, gives a quick review of the international teen-phenomenon that is The Hunger Games.

I did not know that Katniss was a girl until the third chapter.

I did not know the book took place in the future until the end.

Additional confusion: Is the point supposed to address consumerism/capitalism or feminism? I guess both but, uh, the girl wants the guy and everyone eventually gets what they pay for so… Suzy…

Maybe I’ll like this cliche novel regarding a post-apocalyptic society more if I finish the other two books. They take like 10 minutes to read so why not?
