1. Windsor Company To Pay $2.58 Million In PPP Loan Settlement (patch.com) — A Windsor-based manufacturer, Fabbrica LLC, will pay more than $2.58 million to resolve federal allegations that it was ineligible for a second-draw Paycheck Protection Program loan. Prosecutors say the company and its foreign affiliates exceeded the 300-employee cap, though the settlement does not include any court finding of liability. The case is one of several Connecticut PPP-related settlements announced the same day.
   

2. Windsor Leaders Condemn 'Acts Of Hate' After 3 Incidents (patch.com) — Windsor residents and leaders gathered outside Town Hall to denounce three recent incidents targeting Black and LGBTQ+ community members, including a torn Pride flag, a stolen memorial bench, and a missing plaque honoring Black Civil War veterans. Officials, including the mayor and lieutenant governor, urged thorough investigations, possible hate-crime charges, and community vigilance. Residents are encouraged to share any information with Windsor police as the town reaffirms that hate is not welcome.
   

3. Amazon Raises Starting Pay For Eligible Windsor Workers (patch.com) — Amazon is boosting its minimum starting pay to $20 an hour for eligible full-time workers at its Windsor facilities, a significant change for one of the town's largest employers. With three local sites and thousands of employees, the raise and new Whole Foods discounts and banking benefits could meaningfully affect many Windsor households' budgets in the coming months.

Southington routs Windsor 35-6, moves to 3-0 (wfsb.com) — Windsor High's football team fell 35-6 to Southington, dropping to 0-3 despite grabbing an early lead on a touchdown pass from LJ Richardson to Braylon Chaney. The Warriors now look to regroup before heading on the road to face East Hartford, hoping to turn their season around against another tough opponent.

East Lyme pauses Flock license plate cameras amid growing CT scrutiny (ctpost.com) — Windsor is among several Connecticut towns that have paused use of Flock license plate reader cameras, following East Lyme's decision and new statewide scrutiny of the technology. Local readers should know that Windsor police are stepping back while lawmakers, oversight councils, and Senate hearings weigh privacy, safety, and future rules for these surveillance tools.
