Two Windsor Public Schools Leaders Honored for Excellent Service to School District
Danielle Batchelder, Director of Business Services and Paul Cavaliere, Sage Park Middle School Principal Recognized
The Connecticut Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), has recognized Danielle Batchelder, Director of Business Services, as the Rising Star Recipient for this year. This award is reserved for those who have had their certification for 10 years or less. The award was created to acknowledge the value and contributions of outstanding school business officials. Nominees are evaluated based upon their contributions to the profession, regardless of the size of their districts and job titles.
The selection process is based on four general criteria: service to school district, innovative projects or practices, professional contributions, community service and activities. Batchelder will be recognized at the annual CASBO institute with a special presentation at their June meeting.
In addition, Sage Park Middle School Principal, Paul Cavaliere, has been honored for his innumerable contributions to the Connecticut Association of Schools for the past 26 years. On Tuesday, May 10th, at the Sixty-Fourth Annual Membership Reception, Mr. Cavaliere received a CAS Citation, the association’s highest honor.

Mr. Cavaliere has served the CAS since 1990 and at the end of this school year, will complete a record four “tours of duty” on the middle level board; that is two more than any prior member in CAS history.
As a former Middle School Principal of the Year, Mr. Cavaliere has achieved almost every recognition that CAS offers, including garnering Middle School of the Year honors for two different schools at which he served as principal.
