• Windsor School Needs New Roof (patch.com) — Clover Street School's aging, leaky roof could soon get a $2.4 million partial replacement, with Windsor taxpayers likely covering about $1.24 million after state reimbursement. The Board of Education must first approve the project, followed by Town Council authorization before Windsor can apply for state funding, though no construction schedule has been set yet.

• Football Recap: New Britain Pulls Away from Windsor (maxpreps.com) — Windsor High's football team dropped its home opener 28–12 to New Britain, starting the season 0–1 despite playing on their own field. The Warriors quickly get a chance to rebound, traveling to face St. Joseph at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 19, while New Britain hosts Greenwich later that evening.
