Windsor GOP Elects New Leadership

The Windsor Republican Town Committee announced it elected new leadership Thursday, including a new chair in former town council member Ronald Eleveld.

The Committee also elected John Ahern and Cari Turek as vice chairs, Karen Andrews as secretary and Barry Towers as treasurer.

Eleveld appointed John Eichner as deputy treasurer.

"This will be a challenging year, and we are looking forward to encouraging people to become more involved in the community and take part in town meetings," said Eleveld who added his confidence the committee has put togther a great team that is "concerned about the economic situation facing many families in Windsor and beyond."

2012 looks to be a year of great exposure for Windsor republicans, with a number of local party members running for office on the state and national level, including Malvi Lennon, who is running for State Senate, Town Councilman Mike McDonald, who is running for U.S. Congress, and Brian K. Hill, who is running for U.S. Senate.
