American Red Cross Helps Five People After Broad Brook Fire
Two families were displaced in Monday's fire.

The American Red Cross is helping five people – four adults and one child in two families – after a fire on Monday, Dec. 8, on Depot Street in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor.
The Red Cross provided the families help with emergency food and clothing needs. The family of two adults and one child received additional assistance for baby needs, as well as a stuffed animal toy for the child. Both families were able to make alternate arrangements for housing.

Red Cross team members AnnMarie Braun and Pat Calcinari assisted the families.
The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
