• Check Your Tickets: KENO Prize Sold In Windsor Locks (patch.com) — Windsor Locks residents are being urged to double-check any recent KENO tickets, as a $10,000 winning ticket sold at Airport Valero on Ella Grasso Turnpike remains unclaimed. The ticket, purchased for the Sept. 19 drawing, must be redeemed by March 18, 2027, or the prize will expire.
   

• Street To Close For Weekend In Windsor Locks (patch.com) — Bridge Street in Windsor Locks will be completely closed to vehicles from late Friday night, Sept. 25, through early Monday morning, Sept. 28, for work on the new train station platform and signal system. Police say access from the east side will remain for Montgomery Mills Apartments and Ahlstrom, but Main Street construction and shifting traffic patterns mean drivers should expect delays and consider alternate routes.
   

• Bradley International faces backups due to grounded flights throughout northeast (wtnh.com) — Travelers using Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks are facing significant delays and cancellations after an FAA radar failure in Pennsylvania disrupted flights across the Northeast. Some planes, including an international arrival, sat on the tarmac for extended periods, and officials warn Windsor Locks passengers to check their flight status for the next few days.
