Broad Brook Man Arrested on Multiple Warrants

The man struggled briefly with Vernon police officers as he was being taken into custody at a restaurant, police said.

A Broad Brook man wanted on four outstanding warrants was taken into custody Sunday night at a Vernon restaurant.

Nathan Wilcox, 34, of 44 1/2 Windsorville Rd., was arrested at 8:27 p.m. after police received a call that he was at Angellino’s Restaurant at 346 Kelly Road. The officer located him, and he was taken into custody after a brief struggle, Lt. William Meier said.

Wilcox was found to be in possession of suspected PCP after he was taken into custody.

He was charged with possession of a hallucinogen and interfering with an officer. His bond was set at $25,000.

Police also charged Wilcox in connection with the four warrants. Those charges include violation of probation, first-degree failure to appear and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Underlying charges connected to those warrants include possession of narcotics, carrying a dangerous weapon and operating under the influence, according to judicial records.

The bond on warrants was $40,000 total. His total bond including the new Vernon case is $65,000.
