Broad Brook Man Charged with Assaulting Woman: East Windsor Police

The man is accused of dragging a woman by the hood of her sweatshirt and also kicking and stomping her while she was on the ground.

EAST WINDSOR, CT – A Broad Brook man was arrested Monday night on a warrant for allegedly assaulting a woman in a recent incident.

Marcus Abatayo, 31, is accused of pulling a woman to the ground and dragging her to a bedroom by the hood of her sweatshirt, which caused her to lose the ability to breathe briefly, according to police.

Abatayo also allegedly kicked and stomped on the victim while she was on the ground, police said.

The incident occurred on March 4 and was reported to police on March 7 and an arrest warrant was applied for.

Abatayo was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.

Abatayo was released on a $25,000 court-set bond and is scheduled to appear at Enfield Superior Court on March 15.
