Broad Brook Woman Wins Top Prize in Lottery Game
Her "Run the Table" winning ticket was worth $75,000.

BROAD BROOK, CT — Lillian Bottomley of Broad Brook was in for a wonderful surprise as she recently arrived at the CT Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill.
According to a statement from the CT Lottery, Bottomley recently played “Run The Table” and thought she won $1,650, only to discover she was going home with $75,000.
“I’m just ecstatic,” Bottomley said with a chuckle. “I scratched $1,650 and took the day off [to claim her prize].”

Handing her ticket in, Bottomley couldn’t believe what Lottery officials told her. She had won the game’s top prize and didn’t even know it.
“I added everything up and said, ‘Oh wait!’ I just stared at her [Lottery official] - I was very stunned.’”

Bottomley was excited to celebrate with family and enjoy her vacation at the end of the month. She also couldn’t help but smile as she was asked about her plans for the surprise winnings.
“I don’t know yet - but it’s going right into the bank,” she replied.
For selling the winning ticket, A&B Express at 110 Main Street in Broad Brook will receive a $750 check from the CT Lottery.
The overall odds of winning a Run The Table prize are 1 in 3.67. Of the four top prizes worth $75,000, two remain to be claimed.
