Car Takes Out Pole in East Windsor Crash
Police say distracted driving caused the early-morning crash Wednesday.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — Distracted driving is being cited as the cause of a early morning crash Wednesday on Route 5, police said.
At 12:40 a.m., police responded to a car vs. pole crash in front of the Hotcakes Restaurant on South Main Street. A passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Police have not released the names of the involved parties.

The pole is being stabilized by the utility companies and the morning commute was not expected to be impacted, police said.
