Carbon Monoxide Detector Evacuates Childcare Center in East Windsor

Alarm went off around 7 a.m. at Grammy's Learning Center this morning.

A childcare center on Pasco Drive in East Windsor was evacuated Monday morning because of a carbon monoxide issues, according to NBC Connecticut.

A carbon monoxide detector went off around 7 a.m. at Grammy’s Learning Center and the director of the center called 911, according to NBC. One teacher and one child were at the center when the alarm went off and officials told NBC Connecticut that all of the students have been picked up. The teacher and child were taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to NBC,

The complex also included some residences, which were also evacuated.

NBC Connecticut also reported that Yankee Gas was assisting firefighters.
