East Windsor Police Blotter: Overnight Car Break-Ins, DUI Arrests

Recent arrests and activity by the East Windsor Police Department.

The following information has been provided by the East Windsor Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

  • We have received phone calls recently and in the past about a black male carrying a red gas can throughout various parts of town. He is known to law enforcement. This male solicits rides and asks for money; giving the impression his vehicle (he doesn’t have one) has broken down nearby. He has admitted to officers that he scams people — although we don’t have a specific complaint from a victim. Please know this when encountering him.
  • Numerous reports of car break-ins during the overnight hours. The most recent occurred in Mill Pond Village. Suspect is a white male who had a hooded sweatshirt on. If you happen to be out late at night, please take notice.
  • An officer on the midnight shift observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Thompson Road. This vehicle went through the red traffic light at the intersection of Thompson/S.Main St. and spun out of control. Luckily, no other vehicles were nearby. Operator, Christian Martinez, 19, of East Hartford, was issued a summons for Reckless Driving.
  • Traffic enforcement/safety will continue to be a priority. Two were arrested for DUI (on Dec. 18), Kenneth Horan, 57, of Enfield and Corey Martin, 19, of Cromwell. One arrest occurred after another motorist followed a vehicle that was all over the road. Kudos to this person as they may have saved a life. Considering the stricter DUI laws recently passed, one would think this would cause a decrease in DUI arrests — it hasn’t happened. Please drive safe and continue to report those who don’t.
