Samantha Corrado, a 2022 graduate of East Windsor High School and daughter of David and Beatrice Corrado, graduated from Boston College on May 18. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Boston College's William F. Connell School of Nursing.

At BC, Corrado was an Undergraduate Research Assistant, working on a research project that looked at how access to health care affects maternal and fetal mortality rates for immigrant women. Through two BC programs, she traveled to Switzerland (University of Lausanne-HESAV) and Chile (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) to learn about health care from a global perspective. In Switzerland, Corrado took a monthlong interdisciplinary elective alongside students from Europe that focused on public health, and in Chile, participated in a seminar and clinical observations of public and private health care settings. She also volunteered over her spring break. First in Greenwood, South Carolina where she helped to build a house with Habitat for Humanity. Another year she volunteered at a school and an immigration center in The Bronx.

She is planning on a career as a nurse in the Boston area, working with underserved populations.
