Elderly Man Had Gun in Carry-On for Flight to Bradley International Airport

A 76-year-old man was arrested for trying to bring a gun on his flight from Chicago to Windsor Locks.

An Illinois man was arrested Friday after Transportation Security Administration agents found a gun in his carry-on bag, according to NBC Connecticut.

The man was trying to fly from Chicago Midway International Airport to Bradley International Airport.

The unidentified man, 76, was arrested around 11:07 a.m., according to the Chicago Tribune, and state charges were pending.

The gun in the man's carry-on bag was a Jennings J-22 pistol, NBC Connecticut reported. It was the fourth firearm found in the past year in carry-on bags at Chicago Midway.
