Hartford Duo Charged in Windsor Locks Larceny
The man faces additional charges of violation of probation and interfering with an officer.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Police arrested a pair of Hartford residents Saturday afternoon who were stealing items from a local discount store with the intention of selling the items to a Hartford bodega, according to a police report.
Around 2:06 p.m., police responded to the Family Dollar Store at 20 Main Street on a report of an active shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers were met by a store employee who pointed out two suspects.
Both suspects, John Preston, 50, and Jeanet Sanchez, 43, admitted shoplifting, the report says.
Preston was found in possession of 35 Snickers bars, valued at $35, and 23 Kit Kat bars, valued at $23. Sanchez was found with four cans of body spray, valued at $4, and three Snickers bars, valued at $3.
Preston told police the pair sells the items to a bodega in Hartford to help support their heroin addition, the report says.
Each was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Preston was additionally charged with interfering with an officer and, on a warrant, violation of probation.
Preston was held on bonds totaling $260,000, while Sanchez was released on a $1,000 surety bond.
Both suspects were arraigned Monday in Enfield Superior Court.
