House Fire Quickly Knocked Down in East Windsor

Firefighters from Warehouse Point and several neighboring companies were able to save the structure.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Firefighters quickly knocked down a structure fire in the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor Friday night, saving the home and others surrounding it.

At 8:01 p.m., the Warehouse Point Fire District was dispatched to an odor of electrical burning in the area of 180 Main Street. As the chief arrived on scene, an odor was reported in the air to the responding companies.

Upon an investigation of the surrounding area, Squad-238 discovered a house fire on Scott Avenue approximately two streets from the initial report. Fire was coming from the second story windows in the rear of the house.

Squad-238 attacked the blaze from the rear stairs, and the fire was quickly knocked down and confined to the rear room in the residence.

The residents were not home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

Mutual aid was provided by fire companies from Broad Brook, Enfield, Windsor Locks and South Windsor.
