Man, 27, Dies in Windsor Locks House, Police Investigating: Police

Police say drugs may have played a role in the man's death. An autopsy has been ordered, police said.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Police say they are investigating after a 27-year-old male was found unresponsive and later died in a South Main Street residence Tuesday night, police said.

In a press release, police said at 9 p.m. Tuesday officers received a call from the residence reporting an adult male was down and "unresponsive" in the house. Police and EMS tried to revive the man, which was unsuccessful, police said. Family members knocked down the door to the bathroom in an effort to reach the man, police said.

Police say "illicit drug use may have been a contributing factor in his death." The Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy, which will confirm an official cause of death, police said.
