Man Charged With Attempted Home Invasion in Windsor Locks
The suspect allegedly closed a door on another man's hand while attempting to gain access to a house.
WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - A Windsor man was taken into custody over the weekend after being involving in a fracas at a Windsor Locks residence, where he allegedly closed another man's hand in a door, police said.
Yassir Bakr, 44, is charged with criminal attempt to commit home invasion, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace.
He was released on $75,000 surety bond, and is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court April 12.

A police report states officers were dispatched via a 911 call to a Spring Street home at 6:14 a.m. Saturday, where a man was reported to be trying to break into the house.
Upon arrival, police met a man bleeding from his left hand, who told them Bakr had knocked on the door and began yelling that the man's girlfriend owed him money. The man struggled with Bakr over the storm door, with Bakr allegedly closing it on the man's hand, the report says.

Bakr left the scene, and was later taken into custody by Windsor police, who turned him over to Windsor Locks authorities.
