• Windsor Locks Main Street Project Gets $1.2M Boost (patch.com) — Windsor Locks' long-discussed Main Street overhaul just secured another $1.2 million, raising total funding to $6.5 million for traffic-calming, pedestrian safety, and streetscape upgrades. Residents can expect features like raised crosswalks, ornamental lighting, more parking, and better connections to the new train station and bus service to Bradley International Airport, with public input meetings planned as designs advance. 
• Tweed-New Haven Airport reopens after lighting failure disrupts Avelo flights (nbcconnecticut.com) — Flights bound for Tweed-New Haven were diverted to Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks Monday night after a runway lighting failure shut down Tweed's runway. Operations have since resumed, but affected Avelo passengers are getting refunds and described scrambling for late-night lodging after unexpected landings far from their intended destination.
