Sleeping Man Charged with DUI: Windsor Locks Police
Police say the man was found passed out in the driver's seat with the engine running and the vehicle was in drive.

Windsor Locks Police recently charged a man who was found passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with the engine running with DUI.
Police responded to a 7-11 parking lot where the man, later identified as John Staley, was found sleeping at the wheel and the vehicle was in drive.
Staley, 53, was then woken up and the vehicle was shifted to park.

Staley failed a field sobriety test and was arrested, according to police.
Police also said a variety of pills and other contraband was found in the vehicle.

Staley was arrested on charges of operating while under the influence of liquor, drugs or both, suspended registration, no insurance for the vehicle, failure to keep narcotics in original container, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Staley was released on a $2,500 bond and was due in court on Sept. 15.
