South Windsor Police Arrest Windsor Locks Woman in Burglary Case

Paula Hoyt, 49, is accused of stealing jewelry from an acquaintance.

South Windsor police arrested a Windsor Locks women for allegedly stealing jewelry from the home of an acquaintance.

Paula Hoyt, 49, of 437Denslow Street in Windsor Locks, was arrested on a warrant on Tuesday and charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny.

Hoyt’s charges stem from a July burglary complaint by a Fairview Drive resident, according to a police press release.

The victim told police that jewelry had been taken from her home and she suspected an acquaintance. Investigators later determined that Hoyt was the person responsible and obtained an arrest warrant, police said.

Hoyt was held on a $5,000 surety bond and was presented at Manchester Superior Court later on Aug. 12.
