Tree Falls On East Windsor House

Police responded to several public road hazards from trees and wires down from last night's storm.

Among the numerous trees and wires down from last night’s storm, a tree fell on the house pictured above on Ellington Road and caused major damage.

East Windsor Police report there were no injuries.

Police said at about 8 a.m. there was an electrical wire down on Phelps Road in front of the Work & Play Daycare and a portion of Phelps Road has no power.

Police said traffic is unable to access Route 5 from Phelps Road until it is repaired and two officers are on the scene diverting traffic.

Niederwerfer Road is closed at the East Windsor town line as well.

Police responded to public hazards on the following roads last night:

East Road, Wells Road, Rockville Road, Melrose Road, Broad Brook Road, Niederwerfer Road, North Water Street, Phelps Road, Chamberlain Road, Main Street, South Main Street, Morris Road, Graham Road and Windsorville Road. Police also responded to nine false burglar alarms.
