Windsor Locks Police Investigating Home Burglaries

A successful burglary and an attempted break-in have been reported in the past week, according to police.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Police are investigating several home burglary attempts which have taken place in town in the past week.

On March 17, Windsor Locks police responded to a call on Enfield Street, and determined a person or persons had attempted to force entry via the back door sometime after 9 p.m. The person or persons appeared to have walked from the front driveway leading to the back yard area, at which time a solid object was used to break the back door window pane. The suspect or suspects did not gain entry, but the window was shattered along with a five to six inch hole to the window near the door's locking mechanism.

On Tuesday, a resident of a condominium complex on Oak Ridge Drive reported the theft of a laptop, a 32-inch television and an iPad. An investigation revealed entry had been gained by breaking the basement window located on the northwest side of the condo, which backs to the Thrall Farm.
