6th Annual Summer Solstice Celebration

The Washington Art Association celebrates, the long awaited
summer season by presenting “Club Babalu” one night only!

On Saturday, June 21, ( the longest day of the year ) the
Washington Art Association will be transformed into the “Club Babalu”, a chic
night spot featuring Latin beats, Samba dancing, tropical cuisine, and of
course, libations of the Mojito King!

The irrepressible Mojito King, Washington’s own Abdo
Ballester, will be mixing his signature Cuban rum drinks.  Our favorite chefs from the Mayflower Grace,
Winvian. Community Table, John’s Café, The Pantry, Good News Café, Arethusa Al
Tavolo, Oliva, Hidden Valley, The White Horse Tavern and Restaurant, and GW
Tavern will provide a Caribbean-themed menu of delicious delights including the
“Cubano”, a grilled sandwich wrap in a banana leaf.  The 7 Mile Steel Drum Band will beat out
rhythms of the Caribbean, Samba demonstrations will groove to the Brazilian Bossa
Nova as the carnival spirit invades Washington Depot.
