A Smooth Start to Region 15 School Year
Middlebury Elementary School Principal Jack Zamary said all went well on the first day. The kindergartners hopped off buses, ready to start their first year.
The rain steadily poured from the sky but did not dampen the spirits of the children walking into Middlebury Elementary School for the first time yesterday as kindergartners.
Some skipped in, all smiles, while others shuffled a bit hesitantly toward the door. It did not take long for the kindergartners to form a line and get social.
Some buses ran a little late on the first day, but Principal Jack Zamary said the first day of school went exceptionally smooth.

"The fact that we had an earlier date and it was cancelled made everyone eager to get back into the swing of things," he said.
