Camp An-Se-Ox has fun and challenging activities like archery, swimming, and hiking for all girls in grades K-12!
Programs in archery, tennis, and Horse Fun are available this year. Specific programs include Camp Olympics, complete with games, ceremonies, and tournaments; Advanced Outdoor Cooking, where girls prepare and cook a variety of treats; and Curious Naturalist, where girls learn to explore the natural world around them at camp. The camp is located on 55 acres of woodlands laced with hiking trails in Oxford. The property includes a swimming pool, bird sanctuary, butterfly garden, and playing field. Â One and two week programs are available from June 30 through August 8. Â Free bus service is included for day campers. Â Breakfast bunch with drop off as early as 7:00 a.m. is also available.
Several studies, including one by the American Camp Association, suggest that a stay at summer camp typically benefits children by helping them become more confident and experience increased self-esteem; develop social skills; become more independent, showing leadership qualities; and become more adventurous in trying new things. Camp An-Se-Ox is American Camp Association accredited and licensed by the State of Connecticut to ensure the well-being of all campers.
