The following pets are the new additions to the shelter this week, starting with three sisters.
Heidi, Clarice and Darla, Tortoiseshell/Domestic Long Hair Mixes
These beautiful feline sisters are each looking for new homes. The trio is living in foster care now and are ready to transition to their permanent places.
Heidi is the orange and black calico, Clarice is the dark 'tortie' and Darla is the longhaired beauty. All are five months old and curious and playful, as youngsters should be.
Clarice is the most reserved of the family so AFL is looking to place her into a home with one of the others (either one would be just fine with her.
Molly, a Female Husky Mix
Molly is a female Husky mix who loves everyone she meets. She enjoys receiving attention from all the shelter volunteers and visitors and is not at all an aloof dog. She is approximately 1 1/2 years old and has lots of love to offer a new family.
Nellie, a Female Beagle Mix
Nellie is a lover. This Beagle mix will sit with people for hours on end and be perfectly content. And if you are sitting outside, she is just as happy! She craves to be a lap doggie and she equally loves the outdoors.
At seven years old, Nellie is mellow and easy and doesn't seem at all bothered by the dogs at the shelter.
Perry, a Male Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)/Anatolian Shepherd Mix
Perry is a well adjusted 3-year-old who is acclimated to living in a home and would make a great family pet. Perry is social, great with kids and adults, and comes already trained. He knows commands such as sit, down, and come. He is already housebroken and is healthy and active.
Those interested in meeting must call to make an appointment, as he does not reside in the shelter.
Rocky, a Male Domestic Short Hair
Rocky is new to the shelter. He's just about one year old, solid black and has really stunning eyes. This boy is very active, and pretty nosy too -- he likes to check out everything.
Rocky loves his toys and his favorite is a stuffed gorilla. He would do best with someone who has the time to interact with him and play. He also enjoys quiet time after playing and will sit on your lap while at the computer or in front of the TV. He has quite the personality and is also pretty vocal.
