Despite Enrollment Declines, Region 15 Schools Chief Says No Schools Will Close

Student enrollment has declined by almost 700 pupils since 2010.

Region 15 Superintendent of Schools Regina L. Botsford reported this week that despite a drop in student enrollment since 2010 of about 675 students, the school district will not close any schools, the Republican-American reports.

Botsford explained that while the number sounds like a lot, it’s spread out over many different grade levels.

Additionally, the Rep-Am reports, that the number of staffing positions has decreased by 10 over the past five years.
