School-age kids, 5 to 10, can enjoy a full day of fun at Flanders Nature Center on the Columbus Day holiday, October 10. Start your day at 9 am at "Survival Kids" and imagine crossing an ocean to discover a strange new land. What do you need to do to survive? Break for lunch at noon with earth-friendly stories, games and activities while you eat a brown-bag lunch from home. In the afternoon, at 1 pm, "moo-ve" on to some "Farming Fun" at the North Barn. Visit the animals, take a hayride to pick a pumpkin and then decorate it and along the way, enjoy games, art and good old-fashioned outdoor fun! Flanders' members' kids can start the day at 7 am at the "Rooster Roll Call" and end with a "Flanders Finale" until 6 pm.
