Create-a-Camp at Jumpstart

Jumpstart Fitness and Therapy Network, a one-of-a-kind program in Oakville offering children’s playgroups and fitness classes, welcomes kids aged three to 16 years old to participate in their new and unique summer Create-a-Camp program.

Create-a-Camp works around children’s and families’ busy summertime schedules and activities to create a fun, customized day camp experience. Parents can choose as many or as few days that their children can attend camp.

Preregistered children can also “drop-in” any day during camp hours with no advance notification (for a minimum of two hours) making Create-a-Camp the ideal and exciting solution for rainy days or for when parents run out of fun, creative ideas or just need a little time for themselves!

Camp begins on June 24th and runs Mondays through Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Camp costs $8 an hour (minimum of two hours per camp session).

Campers will be grouped by age and ability and can participate in activities including basketball, dance lessons, fitness and boxing lessons, Lego programs, games on our interactive Sportwall, obstacle courses, tumbling, yoga, dramatic play, story time, songs and music, sports readiness programs, arts and crafts, sensory and creative movement, and making new friends. Younger attendees will also have the opportunity to run, jump, ride the zip line, crash into mats and the ball pit, and play in our indoor playground or our gigantic castle with secret passages, while older children can participate in higher level sports and fitness programs.

Jumpstart will also offer specialty summer programs including hula hooping classes, Mighty Muscles fitness group, “No Boyz Allowed” fitness and nutrition program for tween and teen girls, and our “Jumpstart to School Readiness” program to refresh handwriting and school skills.

“Whether a child comes to our camp for just one day – or all summer long - we can guarantee an enriching, stimulating, and exciting experience they’ll never forget. Our programs are designed to engage both the brain and body in countless ways and support academic skills. It’s a multi-sensory approach that prepares kids with a foundation for learning and success,” said Catherine Risigo-Wickline, MS,OTR/L, Owner and Executive Director of Jumpstart.

Pre-registration and multiple-child discounts are available. For more information or to register, please call (860) 945-1301 ext. 301.
