Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust in Woodbury has opened registration for their fall programs for children, ages 5 to 10. Located at 5 Church Hill Road, Flanders offers environmentally-based educational programs for children conducted on its 200-acre campus of forest, field and farm , with active involvement in the natural world.
Flanders offers after-school enrichment programs for students ages 5 to 10 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, beginning on September 7. In the "Farming Fun" program on Thursdays from September 15 to November 17, children explore farm life at Flanders' North Barn, including caring for horses and other farm animals. Monthly program fees are $144 for members and $207 for nonmembers. Extended care until 6 pm is offered for an additional fee.Bus transportation to any of the programs is available from Bethlehem Elementary School.
